Prof. Ilona N. Rashkow is Professor (Emerita) at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and teaches regularly at New York University. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Maryland and she is the author of Taboo or Not Taboo: The Hebrew Bible and Human Sexuality (Fortress, 2000); The Phallacy of Genesis: A Feminist-Psychoanalytic Approach (Westminster John Knox, 1993); Upon the Dark Places: Sexism and Anti-Semitism in English Renaissance Biblical Translation (Almond, 1990).
