Samuel Heilman
Prof. Samuel Heilman is Harold Proshansky Chair in Jewish Studies (Emeritus) at the Graduate Center and Distinguished Professor of Sociology (Emeritus) at Queens College of the City University of New York. His Ph.D. is from the University of Pennsylvania, and three of his many books won the National Jewish Book Award: The Gate Behind the Wall, A Walker in Jerusalem, and The Rebbe (with Menachem Friedman).
